Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Senior Support Worker for our supported living service in Bromley. You will lead hands-on support and take on leadership and administrative duties to ensure high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and mental health challenges.

Reporting to the Registered Manager, you’ll coordinate the service, mentor staff, and help maintain safe, regulated operations while promoting choice, independence and inclusion in daily life.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work.
• Level 2 in Health and Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating – effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
• Engaging – promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording – keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
