Job summary

Salutem Care and Education is seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to lead shifts and deliver high-quality, person-centred care in our Cornwall residential services. You will mentor Support Workers, support care plans and reviews, and help individuals achieve their goals with independence and well-being.

You’ll work varied shifts including days, nights, and sleep-ins, with progression opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, medication management, PBS, and person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff during shifts, promoting best practice and person-centred care.
• Deliver and oversee tailored support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
• Support the development and review of care plans, risk assessments, and outcome-focused support plans.
• Monitor individuals' health and wellbeing, liaising with healthcare professionals as required.
• Ensure safe medication management, accurate record keeping, and compliance with organisational policies.
• Oversee financial records and support individuals with budgeting and money management where appropriate.
