Job summary

Priory Arbour Street in Southport is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our compassionate team. You will supervise care for three adults with a learning disability, assist with assessment and delivery of person-centred care plans, and support residents to participate in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
• Full UK driving license for 3 years (for insurance purposes).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate others

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care
• Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
• Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
• Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
• Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
• Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
• Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
• Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.
