Job summary

Mariposa Care Group is seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker at Sovereign Court Care Home in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. You will balance hands-on care with supervising your team to ensure residents receive person-centred support.

You should have mental health care experience, a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, and enjoy developing colleagues while delivering safe, compassionate care. The role is dayshift, 33 hours per week, at £14.95 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a specialist mental health facility or similar environment.
• Experience supervising and mentoring a team (preferred).
• Holds a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or is committed to achieving one).

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting your team with training and guidance to ensure they excel in their roles.
• Ensuring residents' care plans are comprehensive, up-to-date and consistently followed.
• Dispensing medication accurately and maintaining detailed records.

Job Overview

As a Senior Support Worker you'll balance providing hands-on care with supporting and supervising your team. Your primary focus will be ensuring that every resident receives exceptional, person-centred support while helping your colleagues thrive in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
