At Sovereign Court Care Home, we're on the lookout for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our bank team and help make a real difference to the lives of our residents. If you've got experience in care and have previously supported or supervised a team, this could be the perfect role for you.

About Sovereign Court Care Home

Situated in Westerhope, our home provides a 12-bedded specialist service providing care and support for people with mental health needs.

At Sovereign Court we believe in encouraging residents to live as independently as possible, supporting people with compassionate care and informed decision-making.

What does the role involve?

As a Senior Support Worker you'll balance providing hands-on care with supporting and supervising your team. Your primary focus will be ensuring that every resident receives exceptional, person-centred support while helping your colleagues thrive in their roles.

  • Supervising and supporting your team with training and guidance to ensure they excel in their roles.
  • Delivering Quality Care: Assisting residents with personal care needs, always upholding dignity, respect and privacy.
  • Care Planning: Ensuring residents' care plans are comprehensive, up-to-date and consistently followed.
  • Medication Management: Dispensing medication accurately and maintaining detailed records.

This role requires a mix of practical care and supervisory responsibilities, so you'll need to feel confident managing multiple tasks while keeping residents' wellbeing at the forefront.

  • Has experience working in a specialist mental health facility or similar environment.
  • Has experience supervising and mentoring a team (preferred).
  • Holds a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or is committed to achieving one).
