About The Role

Senior Support Worker - Dan Y Coed Home - Hourly rate £12.80 to £14.10 Dependent on qualifications and experience - Full time - 40.25 hours per week

About Dan Y Coed

Position: Senior Support Worker

As a Support Worker at Dan Y Coed, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people, supporting their daily activities, educational needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a team including teachers, therapists, and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Please note: This job involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing leadership to less experienced staff to ensure the development of best care practices and optimal outcomes for the adults in our care.
  • Promoting rights, allowing our individuals to be treated with dignity and respect in every aspect of their lives.
  • Establishing supportive relationships and encouraging the development of stable relationships between our supported individuals, other staff, and their families and friends.
  • Ensuring that all care plans, key-working files, and care files are updated, accurate, and maintained.
  • Supporting the staff team in their role as key-workers and facilitating training as required.
What we are looking for:
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
  • QCF level 3 qualified or currently working towards it.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations.
  • Able to understand and adhere to relevant safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience conducting Health and Safety risk assessments.
  • Ability to support and train staff to excel in their roles.
