The workday can be unpredictable, involving organizing activities and providing 1:1 support.

We seek enthusiastic, energetic, flexible, and caring individuals across Wigan to improve the lives of young people in our care.

The impact you will have is significant as you are involved in all aspects of their daily lives.

In addition to a £1000 Refer a Friend Scheme, we offer:

  • Training and Development Plans including NVQs and career progression
  • 28 Days Holiday including Bank Holidays, increasing with service

  • Casual Dress Code
  • Company Pension
  • Simply Health (linked to service)
  • Days out and activity days off site
  • Management Development Programme from Support Worker to Registered Manager and beyond

Shift Pattern: 16-24 Hour shifts (including Sleep-ins) on a one-on-two or two-on-four basis.

The young people range from 8-18 years with behavioral and emotional needs.

A typical day may include:

  • Leading shifts and deputizing for the Registered Manager
  • Ensuring team members complete mandatory training and supporting their development
  • Communicating with the team about care plans
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Participating in team meetings
  • Providing support and care to young people
  • Encouraging school engagement and assisting with travel
  • Preparing meals and maintaining the home environment
  • Organizing social activities

We support young people of mixed ages and genders with complex needs, achieving great outcomes.

This is challenging yet rewarding work where your daily efforts can be life-changing.

We are proud to be a 27-time Ofsted 'Outstanding Provider'. Join us as a Senior Support Worker to help us achieve more.

Requirements:

  • 12 months of experience in a residential setting is desirable but not essential
