Responsibilities:

  1. Deputise in support of the Service Manager, managing and monitoring performance in delegated areas such as team management, operational targets, quality standards, and sector regulatory requirements. Report back to the manager.
  2. Act as the Designated Responsible Person on shift as required.
  3. Manage the team and staff rota as delegated by the Service Manager.
  4. Manage team workload by delegating appropriate tasks, directing, and supporting staff to meet deadlines and quality standards. Contribute to recruitment, induction, support, and training of staff as needed.
  5. Complete and submit work accurately and on time using the delegated reporting systems.
  6. Ensure safeguarding of the people we support by adhering to internal policies, medication management systems, staff handbook, and external regulatory requirements (CQC, CSSIW, OFSTED, etc.).
  7. Compile Care Plans and risk assessments using relevant information and templates to support personalised care aligned with individual needs and goals. Update information regularly.
  8. Promote goal-oriented activities and care, supporting staff to help individuals achieve their aspirations and meaningful outcomes.
  9. Monitor and collate outcome data using Regard documentation to support review processes, discussions with commissioners, and families/carers.
  10. Support and empower individuals by offering options and encouraging positive risk-taking in line with their Care Plans and goals.
  11. Collaborate with colleagues, families, friends, other professionals, and significant others to support each individual.
  12. Handle issues, comments, and complaints according to policy and procedure.
  13. Contribute to the Service Development Plan, including resource needs and growth strategies.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  15. Ensure health and safety of site users and comply with delegated site requirements from the Service Manager.
