Job summary

The Arc in Blackpool is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a team of residential care staff. The role focuses on admissions, discharges, medication management and staff development within a person-centred service.

The successful applicant will mentor RSWs, ensure high standards of care, liaise with health and social care partners, and contribute to service improvements. DBS checks, right to work in the UK and safeguarding duties apply.

• Experience with admissions, discharges, and medication administration.
• Eligible to work in the UK with DBS clearance and right to work.

Salary: NJC Grade F SCP 19-24 £32,061 - £35,412 pro-rata per annum, plus allowances for weekend working

The Arc is a unique service and there is an exciting opportunity to recruit to a Senior Support Worker.

The ARC is an evolving service that is supporting a variety of people some who have reablement needs, are Covid positive, need a place of safety, a place to recover after a hospital admission etc.

The ARC's CQC Registered Manager is dedicated in supporting the staff team to build a service that is person centred, responsive and an asset to Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.

The ARC works alongside health and social work colleagues to provide an holistic experience for the people who stay, usually for periods ranging from a few days to six weeks, occasionally longer.

The role of theSenior Support Workeris to lead and manage a team of RSWs, being a mentor, role model and shift leader. Supporting the whole team with admissions, discharges, medication, audits and staff development to name a few of the many tasks involved in the role.

You will receive a warm welcome at the ARC and work alongside a dedicated staff team who want what is best for the people who access the service.
