We'd like you to join us as a Senior Support Worker at our service Moorpark in Kilbirnie.

Moorpark Place is a specialist supported living service for adults on the Autistic Spectrum. Located in a peaceful setting in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire, we provide supportive, therapeutic care.

The layout at Moorpark Place is unique, comprising 25 individual houses set in their own grounds with shared facilities, allowing residents to enjoy independence while being part of a small community. We support those who need help with daily tasks and managing their own homes, aiming to enable an enjoyable and engaging life both on and off-site.

Moorpark Place is calm and tranquil, with a large grassed area and a sensory walled garden for relaxation and sensory engagement.

What you'll be working:

Moorpark operates 24/7, 365 days a year, with shifts typically from 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am. Some support packages include sleepovers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting clients with daily activities
  • Leading shifts and maintaining appropriate staffing levels
  • Supporting care plans and establishing routines
  • Ensuring up-to-date risk assessments and person-centered plans are in place and reviewed
  • Ensuring clients feel safe and stable
  • Providing personal care
  • Covering all aspects of the support worker role as needed
  • Attending mandatory training
  • Administering medication (if required)
  • Supporting clients with physical disabilities using trained techniques and aids

What you'll have:

  • A passion for care
  • Desirable: Level 3 SVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to manage challenging situations
  • Ability to respond fairly to employee issues
  • Successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced PVG check
