Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is assisting an exceptional care home in the Diss/Ipswich area to recruit a Senior Support Worker. You will lead resident care, support planning, and supervise a team of care workers to deliver compassionate, person-centred services during night shifts.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, strong communication, and a genuine desire to care for others. A permanent full-time contract, 36 hours per week, with mileage, pension, and training benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a care setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.
• Contribute to care planning and coaching support workers.
• Promote services when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries.
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation.
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care.
• Be responsible for administering medication to residents in accordance with policies and procedures.

This special care home provides care and support to residential, respite and residential dementia individuals.

NVQ Level 3 Requirement

To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent

Key Duties

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

Salary and Benefits

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £14.45 per hour and the annual salary of £27,050.40 per annum.
