Pay: Pay Up to £34, (depending on experience and qualifications)

At Cambian Group, you’re not just working - you’re shaping futures. As a Senior Support Worker based within West Midlands, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 8–18) helps them feel safe, valued, and supported.

A simple "How was your day?", a shared laugh over a board game, or encouragement during a tough moment—these small interactions build trust and shape lives. Some days will be challenging, but every breakthrough, smile, and step forward will remind you why this work truly matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Support young people with their daily routines, such as getting them ready for school, preparing meals, and planning activities.
  • Create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping.
  • Lead shifts and deputise for the home manager.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
  • Plan and participate in fun activities like trips to the park, movie nights, or creative projects.
  • Maintain essential records to ensure the best possible care.

Where You’ll Do It

The home is in a rural setting with outdoor space for play and activities. It is furnished to a high standard, and each child's bedroom is decorated according to their preferences.

The young people we support have complex needs and a history of adverse childhood experiences. Each child has an individual support plan to meet their specific needs.

We have an experienced senior team leading each shift, with monthly team meetings to discuss progress and challenges. Supervision occurs at least monthly, with upskilling delivered by a regional mental health practitioner each month to develop team knowledge and skills.

Who You Are

  • Warm, patient, a good listener, and encouraging—focused on achieving positive outcomes for others.
  • Holder of a full UK driving licence, NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, and at least two years of experience in a children's residential setting.

Why Join Us?

  • Exclusive discounts at major retailers (ASDA, Tesco, M&S, etc.)
  • Health benefits, including dental and optical cashback after two years
  • 24/7 support via helpline and hardship grants through the CareTech Foundation
  • A welcoming home environment in a comfortable, well-designed space
  • Fully funded induction and training
  • Opportunities for career growth with funded diplomas (Levels 3-5) and promotion pathways
  • Supportive team environment with caring colleagues
