I have an EXCITING role that is split with 14 hours of Managing the service and 21 hours of hands-on experience. You will be working alongside an experienced service manager developing your skills.

I am recruiting several CARING and PASSIONATE Senior Support Workers to join a Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs. The service, which is located in Colwyn Bay supports adults aged between 18 - 65.

The service is looking for candidates with a caring nature and the ability to have fun and engage with the people they support.

  • Hours: Full Time 40 hours a week
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Shifts: Monday- Friday with one weekend day shift every 4 weeks (Sat or Sun)


This is a good opportunity for those looking to take the next step in their career from a Support worker role. Previous management experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

As an Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Support the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Planning rotas, management of staff teams,
  • Ensuring compliance within the service.
  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensuring the safety of the service users.
  • Following care plans for each individual.
  • Taking service users out into the community.
  • Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.



Requirements:

  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3
  • Senior Support Worker Experience
  • Must be resilient.
  • Drivers ESSENTIAL due to the nature of the role
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
