Location: Birmingham
Pay:Pay Up to £34,779 (depending on experience and qualifications)

What You’ll Do
As aSenior Support Workeryou will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.
Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
Lead shift and deputise home manager
Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Where You’ll Do It
The home provides the highest possible level of care to the young people that reside with us and to promote a relaxed and homely environment. At the same time encouraging the young people to develop the academic, practical and social skills they need to thrive and develop from a young person in to an adult. The overall objective of the Service is to meet the needs of each young person in placement though the provision of firm, structured boundaries and through a multi-agency/multi-discipline approach, ensuring that they are in receipt of the best possible outcomes.
All staff will receive appropriate training and support to ensure that they are in touch with the needs of the children and young people we care for and have the necessary skills to meet those needs.
We believe that to create a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment, which values the ethos of mutual respect and responsibility, equipped with adequate communal and private living space, is the foundation upon which our quality service is built.
It is important that good communication is established with all relevant professionals or family members / carers where applicable. Therefore family / carers and social workers are given a verbal update at least weekly. Progress reports are provided for all review meetings and as and when required by external agencies.
The staff team reflects the culturally and ethnically diverse nature of the local community and provide care and support to young people who may have experienced abuse, neglect and exclusion in the past in a flexible and relaxed fashion. The staff team recognises the need that many young people have to regain control of their lives and their behaviour and provide the necessary structure and boundaries to enable them to do so. Staff team aim to work with families and professionals in order to achieve best outcomes for young people. At the moment, we have only one child that is 18 years and will be moving on by August 2025. We are hoping to have another child soon.
Who You Are
Warm, patient, a great listener and encourager - focused on achieving outcomes for others.
Driver with full UK driving licence, hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare and two years working experience in a residential setting.
