Our Clientis a growing independenthealthcare company that provides support services to individuals with diverse needs and abilities. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join their team in a newly built Children's Care Home inBexleyheath, UK.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing high-quality care and support to clients who are teenagers aged 16+ in a supported living environment. You will work closely with our team of support workers and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care and support.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to support workers, ensuring that all care plans and support services are delivered effectively and in line with company policies and procedures
- Conduct regular assessments of clients' needs and develop individualised care plans
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making necessary adjustments to ensure the best outcomes for clients
- Act as a point of contact for clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, providing updates and addressing any concerns or issues
- Assist with the recruitment and training of new support workers
- Ensure that all documentation and records are accurately maintained and kept confidential
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and improvement of our services
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for both clients and staff
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or social care setting
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
- Ability to work independently and use your initiative
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the healthcare sector
- Valid DBS check and references from previous employers
