Job summary

Salutem Care & Education is seeking a Senior Support Leader in Cardiff to lead a team of Support Workers and ensure safe, person-centred care. You will work closely with individuals, families, and external professionals, driving positive outcomes and independence.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating daily operations, and maintaining high standards while adhering to regulatory requirements. DBS checks and safeguarding awareness are part of our safer recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Senior Support Leader role requiring hands-on leadership and support to a team of Support Workers.

• Coordinate day-to-day service operations, prioritise workloads, and delegate tasks effectively.
• Lead shifts and deputise for the Shift Nurse when required.
• Act as a key worker, supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and independence.
• Build positive relationships with families, social workers, and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting, and communication in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support admission, transition, and ongoing development of individuals in the service.
• Monitor standards, provide coaching and guidance to staff, and act as a positive role model.
• Oversee petty cash and support compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, equality, and policies.
• Participate in meetings, training, and continuous professional development to enhance service quality.

About The Role

As a Senior Support Leader, you will provide hands-on leadership and support to a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. Working closely with individuals, colleagues, families, and external professionals, you will help drive positive outcomes, promote independence, and maintain high standards across the service.

• Monitor standards, provide coaching and guidance to staff, and act as a positive role model.
• Oversee petty cash and support compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, equality, and company policies.
• Participate in meetings, training, and continuous professional development to enhance service quality.
