Job description

Job Title: Support Engineer

As a Support Engineer, you will provide first-class post-sales technical support to our clients. You will be the primary contact for technical questions and requests, working closely with customers to resolve issues and improve their experience with CircleCI. Your role involves troubleshooting, creating knowledge articles, and acting as the voice of the customer to drive product improvements.

You will collaborate with the Customer Engineering team, which includes Technical Success Managers and Success Engineers, to ensure customer success from onboarding to scaling solutions. This position offers opportunities for growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:
  1. Resolve support tickets and assist customers with technical issues
  2. Develop troubleshooting methodologies and contribute to the support knowledge base
  3. Gather customer feedback to inform product development
  4. Advocate for the CircleCI platform and participate in on-call rotations
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years in technical support, engineering, or related experience
  • Experience debugging and working directly with end-users
  • Ability to relate business problems to technical solutions
  • Proficiency with *nix systems and scripting
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and infrastructure
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with build, test, deployment automation
  • Knowledge of Docker, Linux containers, Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Understanding of distributed systems and debugging
