Role: Senior Supply Planner

Join Berkmann Wine Cellars, a premium wine distribution company, as our Senior Supply Planner on a 12 month fixed term contract – a pivotal role ensuring seamless supply and availability of our outstanding wine portfolio across the UK.

The Role

In a dynamic and customer-focused environment, you will play a key part in keeping our wines flowing smoothly across our network, while working with some of the best in the business.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • End-to-End Supply Management: From forecasting and replenishment ordering to managing supplier pipelines and UK network transfers.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use your analytical mindset to monitor stock levels, trends, and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, 3PL warehouses, Freight Forwarders and Suppliers.
  • Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively manage stock availability, cover, and risks—ensuring actions and updates are clearly communicated.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion smarter ways of working and support wider supply chain initiatives.

About You

  • Degree qualified, ideally in a business or analytical discipline
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and ERP systems
  • Excellent Excel skills; advanced user essential
  • Wine industry experience or WSET certification is a big plus
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, import documentation, and wine logistics
  • Great commercial awareness and a solution-focused mindset
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with supply chain systems & demand planning tools
  • such as French, Spanish or Italian are a bonus.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for operational excellence and problem-solving
  • Previous experience of building successful relationships with 3PL warehousing and freight forwarders

Working Pattern

This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (09:00 – 17:30pm) but the individual must be flexible according to business needs.

Location

Head office in London. It is a requirement that the applicant will work from the office at least 3 days a week.
