Job Description:

Amazon’s Senior Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from operational teams fulfilling customer orders to retail teams and others. You’ll help optimize our supply chains to enhance customer experience and improve energy and cost efficiency.

Key job responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the weekly business review of RLB throughout the year.
  2. Leading RLB demand planning for high-volume events and disruption weeks to ensure network capacity.
  3. Collaborating with multiple Amazon business units to understand plan interactions and impacts.
  4. Liaising with Surface Transportation Scheduling and Forecasting teams on critical topics.
  5. Identifying root causes of failures and implementing systematic fixes through appropriate processes.
  6. Diving deep into issues and understanding stakeholder contributions and challenges, maintaining a big-picture perspective.
  7. Providing operational updates on risks and opportunities to RLB capacity.
  8. Working with forecasting teams to monitor RLB performance.
  9. Deep diving into problems to resolve short-term and long-term issues.
  10. Developing automations, data pipelines, and dashboards for planning.
  11. Sharing updates with leadership on risks and mitigation strategies.

A typical day involves problem-solving, collaborating with teams to address challenges, and planning for future projects. The role is dynamic, involving both proactive and reactive tasks, with opportunities to learn daily. It is based at one of Amazon’s European headquarters, with flexibility for location or remote work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree
  • Experience analyzing data and creating reports for leadership
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Managing multiple projects with deadlines
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Excel)
  • Using data to define requirements and improve processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in supply chain planning and project management
  • Degree in STEM or an MBA
  • Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or transportation planning
  • Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight)
