Job summary

BAE Systems in the United Kingdom seeks a Supply Chain Platform Manager reporting to the Fleet Time Engineering Programme Manager to lead supply chain activities for Ship Repair Programmes valued £1m-£10m p.a. The role directs materials planning, supplier engagement and risk management to ensure on-time delivery and programme success.

You will work with stakeholders across Projects, Commercial, Operations, Engineering and the Royal Navy, develop strategies, manage budgets, and drive improvements

Qualifications

• Supply Chain best practice knowledge.
• Experience managing UK MoD customer and naval/maritime supply chains.
• Proven track record of development and delivery of large Programmes within a matrix organisation.
• Supply Chain function's people, process and enabling technologies to meet business objectives.
• Cross-functional team working with internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead all supply chain activities within the FTE Programme, providing bid support, strategic development and performance management.
• Manage the project life-cycle, ensuring supply chain outputs such as bid deliverables and phase reviews are met.
• Financially plan and achieve objectives for orders, sales, margin and cash.
• Be the prime contact for all project-related contract management and procurement issues.
• Develop and implement Supply Chain status, risk, and KPI reporting within the project structure.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (customers, suppliers, peers).
• Lead communications and foster a culture of openness and engagement.
