British American Tobacco United Kingdom has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supply Chain Finance Manager in Globe House, London. The SNO Finance team works in partnership with Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing to create strategy and coordinate execution for the outstanding Supply Network. This role focuses on Logistics operations, Supply Planning & Inventory Working Capital Management plus Inventory write-offs management.
Key responsibilities
- As a senior finance leader, provide value added, commercially focused finance business partnering service
- Establish a business wide process to plan, analyse and account for Global Logistics costs at all levels (Primary, Secondary, Last Mile)
- Lead the inventory working capital optimization agenda in coordination with supply planning teams, establish targets and drive delivery of targets and track performance against targets
- Establish process of governance, accounting & reporting for inventory write-offs across the group. Provide insightful reporting to senior partners and forums
- Responsible for handling functional budgets of Supply Network Operations. Orchestrate and handle complicated process of recharges in and out from various group entities. Track performance and ensure delivery against budgets in coordination with business
- Responsible for month end closing process of Logistics costs accounting and reporting for New Categories products in the Nicoventures Entity allocating costs to all group entities
- Support SNO Controller with development of Line of Sight for SNO Finance within the ambit of goals/objectives set by SNO/Global Operation and Global Operations Finance
- Support SNO Controller and business with adhoc tasks and projects management
- Ensure the data, systems, interfaces, planning and reporting tools are fit for purpose
- Define, validate and implement savings methodology for Logistics costs in the Group
- Enabling high quality evidenced based decision making and advice to the business
- Building financial and commercial awareness within areas supported and challenging business managers to improve performance
- Identifying and overseeing the implementation of continuous improvement and performance excellence activities to ensure ongoing improvements in business performance
- Provide people leadership to lead a team of two managers, responsible for their development, career opportunities and advancements
Qualifications
- Previous roles with proven ability to influence without authority in a matrixial organisation
- Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
- Experience of working as finance business partner to operations (manufacturing & Supply Chain)
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems (SAP / BPC)
- Critical Thinking, fact oriented, Data Analytics skills, strong abilities with Excel and Power BI
- Strong Influencing, leadership and social skills
- Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance metrics, project evaluation
- Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesize, communicate and present complex information
- Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative
- Innovation attitude, ability to match customer insights with supply chain and technology insights for accelerated problem solving, Degree or equivalent experience with relevant professional qualifications (CA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA / MBA)
