Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Specialist

Location: Sunbury-on-Thames + Nationwide Travel

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Our client, an established aerospace manufacturing firm in Sunbury-on-Thames, requires an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to join their multi-disciplined team.

Candidates would need to have lived and worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for BPSS security clearance.

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Supplier Quality Specialist will be responsible for:

• Managing the Company's Supplier Audit management plan in accordance with business requirements
• Developing and maintaining the Supplier monitoring process through analytical techniques, including enhancing the Supplier scorecard and other business KPIs
• Maintaining Supplier Quality System documentation in accordance with the Supplier Quality Manual
• Maintaining the Approved Supplier Listing, scope of supply, frequency of review, etc.
• Conducting robust problem-solving using 8D Root Cause, Corrective action with Suppliers
• Improving Supplier Quality Metrics, ensuring non-conformances are subject to disposition in a timely manner
• Driving improvements to Supplier Quality metrics with rigorous improvement to Root Cause identification and robust corrective action closure
• Promoting and supporting Continuous improvement and lean practices with the Supply Chain
• Conducting audits on Supplier Sites
• Supporting the Supplier selection strategy for current and new product introduction
• Supporting 3rd party audits as required

Requirements:

To be a successful Senior Supplier Quality Specialist, you will need:

• A proven track record and extensive experience working in a Supplier Quality role within a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to the supply of products for the Aerospace and Defence industries
• Familiarity with AS 9100 and FAA standards and regulations
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer/supplier-facing skills
• Significant Microsoft Office skills, including creation of Excel spreadsheets
• Good command of the English language and very articulate
• Good presentation and communication skills to groups of around 10 people and to senior management
• Able to write comprehensive reports
