It’s rewarding to contribute to the future of aviation! Based at our Luton manufacturing plant, you’ll help deliver operational excellence. Established in 1993, GKN Aerospace in Luton specializes in commercial and military ice protection systems and transparencies, offering capabilities in design, analysis, testing, certification, and manufacturing for programs including Boeing 787, Airbus A320, Eurofighter Typhoon, and Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. Our clients include Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and others. Our site has over 370 employees and facilities including parking, a food hub, and vending machines.
As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will join the Quality Engineering team, reporting to the Site Quality Manager. Your responsibilities include engineering and communicating product, customer, and system requirements to suppliers, planning qualification activities (FAI and PPAP), monitoring supplier quality performance, conducting reviews, and implementing corrective actions to ensure continuous compliance. You will manage supplier quality issues, act as a liaison with suppliers, suggest process improvements, and collaborate with engineering teams.
This role requires international travel (~once a month within Europe, China, and the USA) and weekly travel within the UK. The position is full-time, with core hours from 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30 to 12:30 on Friday.
