Summary of Role:
Within the Weapons and Sensors (W&S) Business Area, one of the largest operating areas within the Raytheon UK business, the dynamic Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team are an integral part of the Supply Chain team. The team is involved in high-profile programmes, ensuring the supply chain delivers zero defect parts/products, overcoming challenges, and bringing materials & services into Raytheon to safeguard continuity of supply, quality, and timeliness.
Reporting to the SQA Manager, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for delivering Supplier Quality Assurance in line with the Quality Management System and Policy across the W&S business unit, aligned with the respective Commodity Team.
The role involves conducting day-to-day activities as part of the SQA team, engaging with stakeholders across Production and Commodity teams, and ensuring continuous development and implementation of best practices to prevent defects, reduce variation and waste, and meet quality standards to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction.
The responsibilities include ensuring compliance with quality procedures, leading quality improvement initiatives, managing budgets, performing audits, analyzing quality data, supporting internal and external audits, managing supplier relationships, and participating in supplier assessments and development activities.
