Senior Supervising Fostering Social Worker required to join Slough Social Services!!

Job Title: Senior Supervising Fostering Social Worker
Location: Slough Borough Council
Pay Rate: £40 per hour

Slough Council is seeking a Senior Supervising Social Worker to join an IFA Service. As a Senior Supervising Social Worker, you will make sure planned breaks from caring are provided for foster carers as appropriate. You will need to have fostering experience to provide supervision to a caseload of foster carers.

For this role you'll need to have 4 years’ experience of working as a Social Worker within children's services. You will have a good understanding of the National Minimum Standards and Fostering Services Regulations.

You’ll work within a supportive team committed to high standards and continuous improvement in outcomes for children in care.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and develop a portfolio of foster carers in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
• Undertake regular supervision visits, unannounced visits, and annual foster carer reviews.
• Work collaboratively with fostering panel, children’s social workers, and other professionals to ensure safe and appropriate matches and placements.
• Contribute to foster carer recruitment, assessment, training, and retention. Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date case recordings and reports.
• Promote safeguarding and permanency for all looked after children within placements.
