Role: Senior/Supervising Social Worker

Salary: Up to £, per annum dependent upon experience and length of service

This is an amazing opportunity to join Foster Care Associates. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Full Time Supervising Social Worker to join our team to develop and promote fostering services in Cymru North. Our office is based in Abergele with a hybrid working model for flexibility.

Duties Include:

  • Supporting foster families to achieve outstanding outcomes
  • Monitoring foster parents’ suitability and competence
  • Ensuring carers understand fostering standards and procedures
  • Providing regular supervision to foster parents
  • Working in partnership with families and teams to meet needs
  • Ensuring compliance with documentation
  • Attending meetings and preparing reports
  • Promoting participation of children and young people
  • Participating in out-of-hours support on a rota
  • Supporting referrals and initial home visits

Must Have:

  • A Social Work qualification
  • Registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent
  • High-standard report writing skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays
  • Confidence in transporting children in challenging situations
  • Full driving license
