Job summary
Ramboll is seeking a Station Control Engineer to join its Power Systems team in London. You will help develop control philosophies for substations, design protection schemes, and deliver SCADA integration across HV/MV networks for major European projects.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform system studies, and drive concepts through to commissioning using PSCAD/PSSE/DIgSILENT PowerFactory and MATLAB/Simulink. This role offers development opportunities within a global firm.
Qualifications
- Experience developing engineering specifications for plant and station control systems for substations in the 30–400 kV range.
- Experience with SCADA, SRO, and network systems, including IEC 61850–based substation automation.
- Development of protection philosophies, protection settings, and protection coordination studies for AC/DC systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement control philosophies for substations and HV/MV networks.
- Specify, design and apply protection and SCADA solutions for national and international projects.
- Contribute across all project phases—from concept studies to FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
