City and Hackney is a fully integrated adult service delivered by Turning Point, in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend. The service emphasizes partnership working to support community members in achieving their recovery goals, offering holistic and inclusive treatment and support across neighborhoods.
We are recruiting a Registered Nurse (RGN) or Mental Health Nurse (RMN) for the role of Senior Substance Misuse Nurse within our City & Hackney Substance Misuse Service. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals facing substance misuse and alcohol dependency challenges.
Role Responsibility
The Senior Substance Misuse Nurse will lead and develop the Nursing Team, provide clinical supervision, and support non-clinical staff. You will be a role model, advocating for evidence-based clinical practices in alcohol dependency and substance misuse. Collaborating with staff, you will develop, implement, and promote protocols for alcohol withdrawal and substance misuse management, and serve as a point of contact for a multidisciplinary team involved in managing and preventing adverse effects of substance misuse.
You will work with clinical colleagues to deliver educational tools, facilitate referrals to Trust and community-based services, and coordinate monitoring and audits to ensure compliance with best practices. Maintaining high professional standards and liaising with hospital teams, you will help deliver integrated, evidence-based alcohol and substance misuse services.
