Freudenberg Group is seeking an experienced engineering professional to lead safe working practices within the STC, develop, review, and approve test methods, plans, setups, and reports that meet customer, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.

You will investigate abnormal test results, specify and maintain test equipment, calibrate and upgrade systems, and evaluate customer enquiries while driving safety and efficiency improvements across the operation.

Formación

• HND or equivalent relevant engineering, technical, testing or industrial qualification.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or similar safety certification is advantageous.
• Significant experience in a senior engineering, technical, or testing role within a manufacturing or industrial environment; subsea, oil and gas, pressure testing, or related experience preferred.
• Practical experience with mechanical or pressure-test equipment, including test methods, calibration, maintenance, and fault finding.
• Demonstrated ability to develop test solutions, specify equipment, interpret test data, and conduct technical investigations.
• Strong understanding of safety management, risk assessment, safe systems of work, quality control, and non-conformance processes.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, combined with a proactive and continuous-improvement mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Lead safe working practices within the STC, ensuring compliance with risk assessments, work instructions, pre-use inspections, and incident reporting requirements.
• Develop, review, and approve test methods, plans, setups, and reports that meet customer, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate abnormal test results and non-conformances, support root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Specify, procure, commission, and maintain test equipment and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation.
• Maintain equipment performance through calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and control-system or software upgrades.
• Evaluate customer test enquiries, confirming feasibility, scope, risks, costs, schedules, and technical requirements.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, test accuracy, energy use, and overall operational performance.
