Job summary

Baker Hughes, a global energy technology company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Customer Order Engineer to deliver robust subsea wellhead and casing solutions for global projects. You will translate customer requirements into technical designs, manage BOMs, and lead cross-functional design activities.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and project teams, applying industry standards and Baker Hughes design processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in mechanical design, customer order engineering, or application engineering within subsea Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements, specs and standards to develop compliant engineering solutions for Subsea Wellhead & Casing Systems.
• Translate engineering specs into layouts, designs, assemblies and documentation with work scopes and execution plans.
• Develop conceptual mechanical designs aligned with Baker Hughes DPP and governance requirements.
• Review and approve BOMs, drawings, component selections and manufacturing documentation.
• Lead detailed design activities and support design reviews and risk assessments.
• Perform design verification activities including tolerance studies and basic failure analyses.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, project engineering, product management, quality and commercial teams.
