Job summary

Sonardyne is seeking a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to join their engineering team in Blackbushe. This role focuses on designing advanced electronics hardware for subsea systems, working across multiple product lines including acoustic communications and sensing systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on product lifecycle, from concept to testing and production support. A degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in designing analogue and digital electronic systems.
• Knowledge of EMC design principles and compliance standards.
• Ability to use Altium Designer for PCB design.
• Proficient in embedded C and familiarity with C++.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electronics design of new subsea products.
• Develop embedded firmware in C and C++.
• Plan and carry out testing and validation for prototypes.
• Produce structured engineering documentation.
• Support production engineering with design improvements.
