Job summary

DCS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Electronics Hardware Engineer to join an innovative subsea technology company in the Hampshire region. You will own the hardware design lifecycle, developing analogue and digital electronics for underwater instrumentation, including embedded firmware, EMC considerations and robust low-noise circuits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering with 2:1 or higher.
• Strong analog and digital electronics experience.
• Experience with FPGA and microprocessor-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analogue and digital hardware for advanced subsea products.
• Lead hardware design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop embedded firmware using Embedded C and support implementation on microprocessor-based systems.
• Design reliable low-power, low-noise electronic circuits for demanding environments.
• Support EMC design, testing and standards compliance throughout product development.
• Produce clear and detailed engineering documentation to support manufacturing and future product development.
• Carry out hands-on electronics and embedded software fault finding.
• Work closely with production and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful product delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement across the engineering function.
