Job description

About the Role

As a Senior Structurer you will be responsible for underwriting complex structured finance transactions across a variety of sectors (e.g., corporate finance, project and infrastructure finance, trade finance) and geographies, as well as for sourcing new opportunities through a well-established client and broker network.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve taking ownership for the end-to-end execution of the transactions by:

  1. Conducting due diligence, including review of legal documentation, financial modelling, financial statements assessment and sector research.
  2. Redacting credit memoranda addressed to senior management.
  3. Engaging with other teams within the organization, including legal, compliance and risk management, to ensure that transactions meet the organization's standards and guidelines.
  4. Monitoring transactions post-closing.

About the Team

The Credit & Surety team aims at taking credit risk positions by providing risk transfer solutions to leading international banks.

You will be working with a very engaged and collaborative team of experienced finance professionals. As part of the build out of the team, we are looking for a Senior Structurer reporting to the Lead Structurer.

About You

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Engineering or similar.
  2. You have at least 7 years' experience with a bank or other financial institution in structured finance or corporate finance.
  3. You have an excellent understanding of assessing credit obligors across a wide range of industries and structures.
  4. You have strong presentation skills with an ability to articulate clearly and concisely the aspects of complex transactions.
  5. You can evaluate and take a position on transactions and defend views.
  6. You are an inclusive team player with a 'hands-on' approach.
  7. You have a solution-oriented mentality and enjoy a high-performance collaborative culture.
