Role Overview

Location: London

As a Senior Structured Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting Alternative Risk Transfer stand-alone and program transactions, leading deal teams, sourcing new business, and developing expertise in ART products across Allianz Commercial.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently underwrite new ART transactions within the governance framework.
• Source new business from brokers and direct markets.
• Promote ART solutions and educate clients and brokers on its benefits.
• Support growth opportunities and participate in planning and budgeting.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure operational oversight and compliance of ART transactions.
• Coordinate with legal to develop policy wordings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in ART transactions or extensive underwriting experience in related lines.
• Knowledge of the ART marketplace and underwriting practices.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English.
