Job description

Optimus Plus, a PD&MS Group company are now looking for a Senior Structural Integrity Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen on a full-time, flexible hybrid working, employee basis.

For this role we are seeking candidates who have a full understanding of the structural integrity management of offshore structures in the oil and gas sector & be able to utilise hand calculations & analyses software in support of our clients’ assets. Technical report writing & interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with project team members is a prerequisite to this role.

Key Duties:

  • Identify the scope of work required
  • Input to project plans and schedules.
  • Identify areas of concern during any project or study.
  • Produce cost-effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
  • Undertake Surveys, both onshore and offshore
  • Supervise the time of others

About You

Experience / Competence
We are seeking candidates with significant Offshore Structural Engineering experience with a background in brownfield work & asset integrity management, full familiarity with API, AISC, DNV & ISO Codes. Experience with Inplace & spectral fatigue analysis using SESAM is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate is expected to have a full understanding of the structural integrity management of offshore structures in the oil and gas sector & be able to utilise hand calculations & analyses software in support of our clients’ assets. Technical report writing & interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with project team members is a prerequisite to this role.

Qualifications

  • BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline
  • Chartered Engineer statuspreferred
  • Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & MIST (Preferred)

  • Essential: SESAM GeniE, MS Office
  • Desirable: STAAD Pro, USFOS, ABAQUS & Mathcad
