Aldwych Consulting in the UK seeks a Structural Engineer to work on temporary and permanent works design for exciting building projects in Hertfordshire. You will perform hands-on design, site visits, and collaborate with contractors and consultants to deliver specialist structural solutions.

The ideal candidate is Chartered or nearing Chartered status, with experience across contracting and design consultancy, and strong AutoCAD drawing skills.

Structural Engineer (Temporary and Permanent Works)

Hertfordshire, SG11

£60k - £85k

Are you an experienced structural engineer keen to be at the sharp end of engineering?

Do you enjoy a varied workload, including hands on design, out and about to sites, dealing with contractors and consultants proving specialist structural solutions for buildings projects?

This well established company specialise in providing temporary works design solutions for buildings, often large bespoke London schemes which can include basements, crane foundations, demolition works, propping, shoring, jacking, façade retention schemes, piled walls, underpinning, ground anchor design, piling and geotechnical works.

They also do some permanent buildings design works and CAT 3 checks and work for a variety of well known clients. Projects range from small up to £1b in value.

The ideal candidate will have experience from both the contracting and design consultancy world, having had experience of temporary and permanent works design and be Chartered or nearing this status. A structural engineer with permanent works design experience who wishes to change to temporary works can also be considered.

You need to live within commuting distance of SG11, have excellent communication skills, be happy to work for a small practice and fit into a team. Autocad skills are essential as all the engineers do their own drawing work here.
