Pick Everard in Glasgow is recruiting a Structural Engineer to join our vibrant team. You will deliver high-quality structural solutions across diverse sectors and collaborate with project teams.

Ideal candidates hold a BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (MSc preferred), have UK design code knowledge, and experience with AutoCAD and Revit. Site exposure and a commitment to sustainability are valued. We offer training, progression, and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering; MSc/MEng preferred.
• Incorporated Engineer or Near Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE), or approaching membership, with relevant UK experience.
• Strong technical problem-solving, risk management, and knowledge of UK design standards, codes, and construction methods.
• Experienced with structural analysis, design, 3D modelling, and software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across written, visual, and in-person interactions.
• Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks.
• Site visit experience and a collaborative approach, engaging with internal and external teams.
• Committed to sustainable design solutions and ongoing professional development through CPD and training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality technical delivery of projects and tasks, including design, calculations, and drawing support.
• Undertake building surveys and provide appraisals with recommendations for remedial solutions.
• Manage small project fees and resources to ensure commercial success.
• Act as point of contact for client and contractor queries.
• Minimise health and safety risks and promote Pick Everard staff competencies.
• Collaborate with project teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Integrate sustainable engineering practices into projects and commit to ongoing professional development.
• Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.
