Award Associates is a well-regarded consultancy practice specialising in Structural Design, Civil Engineering Design, and Party Wall Surveying (undertaken by a dedicated team). For over 15 years, we have built a strong reputation based on client recommendations. Our work primarily focuses on domestic, light industrial, and leisure sectors within a 50-mile radius of Cambridge.

We are searching for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer or Senior Technician Engineer to become a key member of our structures team. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently on structural engineering projects, utilising both technical expertise and commercial acumen.

Role Overview

Undertake structural calculations and soils investigations for a range of projects.
Produce or oversee the production of structural layout plans, sections, and detailed construction / fabrication drawings using AutoCAD software.
Work on projects valued up to £1 million, covering all common foundation types.
Some understanding of domestic-scale drainage for housing developments, roads, and parking areas would be useful.
Ensure compliance with modern Health & Safety Risk Assessments as part of design team projects.
Act as Principal Designer for structural engineering projects.
