Job summary

BWB Consulting Limited’s Buildings and Built Environment team is seeking an experienced structural engineer to lead technically while developing people and client relationships in Leeds.

You’ll shape designs from concept through delivery, manage multidisciplinary teams and take commercial responsibility for projects across sectors, balancing performance, cost and sustainability.

Chartered status is desirable and your deep UK consultancy experience will help mentor others and grow the business.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in UK design consultancy.
• Portfolio across residential, education, logistics and commercial sectors.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Shaping designs from the outset: develop structural concepts in response to the client brief.
• Leading project teams: coordinate engineers and technicians, manage workloads, provide technical direction.
• Taking commercial ownership: manage resources and design delivery to meet quality, time and budget.
• Bringing disciplines together: lead multidisciplinary projects with technical and commercial focus.
• Building client confidence: explain design decisions and develop lasting client relationships.
• Developing others: share expertise and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Applying intelligent design: use analysis tools to deliver sustainable, buildable solutions.
