Job summary

RSK LDE (Land and Development Engineering) in Hemel Hempstead seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead projects, design robust structures, and maintain strong client relationships. The ideal candidate brings Chartered status, a broad toolbox of design software skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex schemes on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• MEng/MSc/BEng/BSc Hons in Civil or Civil and Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with IStructE/ICE or similar institution.
• Proven experience with design software tools (TEDDS, S-Frame, Tekla, REVIT, AutoCAD).
• Strong project management skills and track record of delivering projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead contact for projects; managing client, design team and site interactions.
• Carry out site inspections and surveys to support design development and quality assurance.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with regulatory and commercial objectives.
• Budget and produce fee proposals and bids for work up to £75,000.
• Produce and review design using a range of structural engineering software packages.
• Prepare reports and calculation packages for key project stages and statutory submissions.
