Job summary

St Albans Consulting Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a busy practice in St Albans. You will lead projects from concept through to completion, delivering robust structural solutions and acting as a technical lead within diverse mixed-use developments.

Youll work alongside architects and other consultants to ensure high-quality reports, calculations and designs, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the team’s ongoing growth and capabilities.

Qualifications

• The ideal Senior Structural Engineer will have strong consultancy experience and a proven track record of delivering structural engineering solutions across building projects.
• Youll be technically confident, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
• Youll enjoy working collaboratively and want to be part of a consultancy where there is room to develop.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects and provide technical direction.
• Produce and review structural designs, calculations and technical reports.
• Work closely with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants.
• Mentor and support more junior members of the team.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the structural engineering team.
• Take increasing responsibility as your career develops.
