Job summary

Our client, a leading Midlands-based multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Derby team. The role focuses on delivering high quality design solutions, overseeing concept studies, and providing construction site support.

Applicants should hold a BEng or MEng in Structural Engineering with strong experience in British/Eurocodes, BIM, and a track record in reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in structural engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of design standards (British/International/Eurocodes).
• Experience preparing bids and proposals; ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design work, inspections and site support on major infrastructure projects.
• Perform concept and feasibility studies for multidisciplinary projects.
• Carry out analysis and design using Tekla, IDEA StatiCA, TEDDS and hand calculations.
• Prepare calculations, design basis, material specs and technical reports.
• Mentor team members to support professional development.
