Job summary

AECOM in Belfast is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead delivery of structural projects across NI, the UK and internationally. This role offers a clear pathway to principal engineer, with ownership from concept to completion and opportunities to build client relationships.

You will design schemes using concrete, steel, masonry and timber, ensure compliance with UK/Northern Ireland standards, mentor junior staff and collaborate with architects, geotechnical engineers and services

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
• Professional membership of MIStructE and/or MICE.
• Demonstrable post-Chartership experience in structural design and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
• Develop robust structural solutions meeting client requirements and standards.
• Coordinate design with architects, geotechnical and services engineers.
• Review calculations, reports and drawings for quality and accuracy.
• Build client relationships and support project delivery on scope and risk.
