Job summary

Pertemps Bond Leeds is seeking an Associate/Principal Structural Engineer to lead major building structures projects in a senior, client-facing role. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery across the construction lifecycle.

The role offers career progression toward senior management or Director level, with employee ownership opportunities and a supportive environment for developing engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years’ relevant structural engineering experience.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with the IStructE or ICE, or be nearing professional qualification.
• Strong track record delivering building structures through the full lifecycle.
• Advanced structural design across materials (steel, concrete, masonry, timber).
• Experience leading projects, coordinating workloads and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural delivery of building projects from concept to completion.
• Act as principal client contact and coordinate internal teams.
• Produce and review designs, calculations, drawings and reports.
• Manage programmes, resources and technical delivery.
• Develop graduates and engineers and support business development.
