A leading structural engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Senior Engineer responsible for specialist structural design projects from inception to completion across multiple sectors. This role involves attending project and design meetings, preparing detailed design calculations and drawings, and mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities

• Responsible for structural engineering design projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare detailed design calculations and drawings.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate design work with others.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Visit sites during construction to monitor progress.

Skills

Sound knowledge of structural design in concrete and steel structures

Experience working with Eurocodes and British Standards

Strong analytical knowledge of engineering principles

Ability to design and deliver structural solutions

Proactive working initiative

Teamwork and holistic building design solutions

Understanding of multidisciplinary requirements

Inquisitive and creative designer

Excellent planning and time management skills

Sound communication and interpersonal skills

Computer literacy in design and analysis programmes

Understanding of CDM Regulations

Education

A good degree in Engineering

Chartered Engineer (IStructE or ICE or equivalent)
