Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Stockton-on-Tees to join a growing consulting engineering practice. You will lead structural design across buildings including schools, offices, housing, industrial, hospitals and decarbonisation projects.

You will manage drawings, calculations and specifications, liaise with multi-discipline teams and mentor junior engineers while building solid client relationships. UK coding and site travel are involved.

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering required; MSc would be useful.
• Chartered status (CEng/MIStructE/MICE) is preferred or you are working towards chartership.
• Experience designing and assessing concrete, masonry, steel and timber structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and ensure compliance with UK regulations.
• Oversee drawings, calculations and specifications; collaborate with multi-discipline teams.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and build strong client relationships.
• Experience of site visits; travel to meetings and remote sites as needed.
