Senior Structural Engineer

Our rapidly expanding client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work across the UK. The role is based in Warrington with some home working. The engineer will be involved in structural inspections, surveys, and design work.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural design and surveys. This opportunity is suitable for a passionate and driven Senior Structural Engineer looking to take technical and operational leadership within a growing business. The company supports career progression and will assist in achieving chartered status if not already attained.

Responsibilities

1. Inspection of various buildings and structures, with digital report preparation
2. Preparation of specifications for remedial works
3. Providing technical support for insurance claims related to buildings, including subsidence, fire, and storm damage
4. Conducting site visits for residential and commercial projects using digital technology
5. Delivering small to medium-sized design projects
6. Calculating designs for insurance claims related to damages
7. Reporting progress to the Managing Director
8. Contributing ideas to shape the company's future

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (1st class or higher preferred)
• Several years' experience in structural surveys and design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, TEDDS, and other relevant IT software
• Good understanding of building materials and structures (steel, masonry, concrete, timber)
• MICE, MIStructE, or near qualification
• Driving license and ability to travel to sites
