Job summary

Waterman Group is seeking a Structural Engineer in Birmingham to join our Structures team. You’ll contribute to delivering projects across healthcare, residential and commercial sectors, supporting the path to chartership and working within a collaborative, sustainable design culture.

The Birmingham office offers hybrid working, mentoring, and opportunities to work on high-profile UK and international schemes as part of a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Relevant civil or structural engineering degree.
• Production of calculations and specifications.
• Technical reviews of drawings and junior member’s designs.
• Preparation of tender and contract documents.
• Attendance at coordination, design team and site meetings.
• Finite Element Analysis
• Knowledge of software including Robot, Masterseries, Etabs, Tedds, CSC Fastrac Building Designer

Responsibilities

• Deliver schemes across a wide range of sectors.
• Work on healthcare, residential and commercial projects.
• Attend coordination and design team meetings and site meetings.
• Support business development and marketing activities.

As well working on large complex projects in the healthcare, residential or commercial sectors.We have excellent routes to chartership and can provide a varied 360 workload to experience all that structural engineering has to offer.

• Although we’re happy to consider applicants with more or less experience, you’ll ideally have qualifications, experience or skills in the following areas:
