Senior Structural Engineer

Our client is looking to make a strategic hire in their small but busy office based in West Sussex.

This friendly firm are looking to expand their operation with this placement, so you will play a pivotal role in the team. Their project base is extensive, and the role will involve producing structural reports on building defects and structural design for domestic and commercial schemes in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.

Requirements:

  • Degree in civil/structural engineering
  • At least 4 years' UK experience in design and analysis of projects to deliver structural designs, calculations and reports
  • Ability to lead your own projects
  • Chartered or keen to gain Chartership (assistance on offer)
  • Good working knowledge of British Standards and Building Regulations
  • Ability to do hand calculations
  • Excellent communication skills and command of the English language
  • Ability to produce quotes, invoices and ensure projects meet deadlines


You will be able to attend site and liaise at all levels, conducting your own project meetings and dealing with suppliers and contractors in a professional manner. Party Wall Surveying experience would be an advantage.
