Job description

Senior Structural Engineer, South East, UK

We are currently working with one of the UK's best known multidisciplinary engineering consultancies as they look to add a Senior Structural Engineer to their division in the City of London.

This role will suit someone with at least five years of similar experience in a consultancy environment, with a track record of resourcing projects.

The consultancy is well known locally for working on large residential developments such as Brooke House, education and healthcare buildings, and a large life sciences development.

Day to day you'll be developing early-stage concept designs, reviewing and quality-checking drawing information before it is issued. You'll also be responsible for supervising and mentoring junior staff and leading parts of projects or small projects to build your project leadership skills.

Additionally, you will contribute to project meetings during both the early design stages and the construction phase.

The Right Fit:
  • Experience in developing structural concept designs in various materials from early stages to construction, delivering project work with limited or no supervision.
  • Actively working under a recognized professional Institution training pathway.
  • A person guided by integrity, who recognizes the contribution of others, shares successes, and takes pride in their work and the legacy of our profession.

Company benefits include an award-winning training and development program, employee ownership, flexible working, a holiday purchase plan, a day off for your birthday, access to internally owned 5* holiday lodges, ICE and IStructE approved training status, an electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, and a £2,000 chartership recognition payment upon passing your exams.
